Russia discusses with Azerbaijan a possibility of participation in Rasht-Astara rail project

May 25, Fineko/abc.az. Russian Railways Company is negotiating about its participation in railway project Rasht-Astara.

RRC first deputy general director Alexander Misharin stated that talks are being held in cooperation with Azerbaijan and Iran.

"We see our participation in the Rasht-Astara will project will exist. And it will certainly be not only the Caspian Sea, it will be part of large corridor North-South and will be good diversification of transport to Europe and direction of goods from Siberia, Central Asia and China. These railway lines will be in demand," Misharin said.
