Inflation in Germany made up 7.5%

August 10, Fineko/abc.az. According to the final estimate, inflation in Germany at the end of July slowed to 7.5% in annual terms from 7.6% a month earlier.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to the press release of the Federal Statistical Bureau of the country (Destatis).

Thus, country’s inflation has remained at the highest level in recent years. The main cause of the increase of inflation in Germany was the energy sector.

As a whole, annual prices for heating oil around the country increased by 102.6%, for natural gas by 75.1%, and for electricity by 18.1%.

In July, the annual increase in food prices was 14.8%.

The prices of butter increased by 44.2%, dairy products and eggs by 24.2%, and meat products by 18.3%.
