May 29, Fineko/abc.az. Minister of Transport, Communications & High Technologies of Azerbaijan Ramin Guluzade has taken part in annual summit of international transport forum on the theme “Transport Security".

The Azerbaijani Ministry reports that the event was held in the German city of Leipzig.

"During the summit the parties covered such questions as ensuring transportation safety, organization of eco-friendly transport, transition to "smart" transportation system in cities and regions, transport and climate change, dependence of transport from digital equipment," the Ministry said in a statement.

Minister Ramin Guluzade delivered speech at the ministerial session devoted to safety and elimination of barriers in the field of road transport. He told about the projects implemented in Azerbaijan, the work done, and application of information and communication technologies in the field of transport and logistics.

"The minister also conducted bilateral meetings with the heads of relevant agencies of Latvia, Ukraine, Moldova, and the Secretary General of the Permanent International Secretariat of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC). The prospects of cooperation in the transport sector were discussed during the meetings.
