August 17, Fineko/abc.az. Along with an increase in the overall volume of cargo transported through the Baku port, this year has seen growth in certain types of cargo.

ABC.AZ has learned from Baku International Sea Trade Port CJSC that while in the first half of last year more than 576,000 tons of dry cargo were transported through the Baku port, this year’s figure has exceeded 666,000 tons, which means an increase of 15.7%. The growth is expected to be stable until the end of this year.

Positive dynamics is also observed in the statistical indicators for the transportation of ground cargo by years. A total of 28.436 tons of dry cargo were transported through the Baku port in 2018, 133.953 tons in 2019, 253.853 tons in 2020, and 347.450 tons in 2021, which means an increase of more than 12 times when compared with statistical indicators for 2018 and 2021.
