August 17, Fineko/abc.az. Turkiye and Israel have decided to restore diplomatic ties.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to Turkish media that Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said Ankara will appoint an ambassador to Tel Aviv.
"This will contribute to the development, deepening economic, commercial and cultural ties between the two countries and strengthening regional stability," the Israeli Prime Minister said in a written statement.

The relations between the two countries were restored after the visit of Israeli President Isaac Herzog to Turkiye in March. Herzog became the first Israeli leader to visit Turkiye since 2008.
