Words "deaf-mute, blind" and "disabled" excluded from Azerbaijani legislation

August 19, Fineko/abc.az. The words "deaf-mute, blind" and "disabled" are excluded from the Azerbaijani legislation.

ABC.AZ reports that this was reflected in the law on amendments to the Civil Code and the "Regulations on serving in the internal affairs bodies of the Republic of Azerbaijan", approved by President Ilham Aliyev.

Thus, in Article 1183.1 of the Code, the words “if a deaf-mute or mute person” are replaced by the words “if a person with a complete limitation of speech and hearing.
In part 3 of Article 83 of the Regulations, the word "disabled" is replaced by the word "with disabilities" and the words "or with disabilities" are excluded from this part.
