August 22, Fineko/abc.az. Interest expenses of 18 banks in the country increased.

ABC.AZ reports that the highest increase was recorded in Bank VTB Azerbaijan OJSC (79%), and the lowest was in Bank BTB OJSC (7.1%).

Out of 26 banks operating in Azerbaijan, five had interest expenses of more than 25 million manats in the first half of this year. These are Kapital Bank (40.169 million manats), International Bank of Azerbaijan (35.661 million manats), CJSC Access Bank (26.869 million manats), Unibank (26.451 million manats) and PASHA Bank (25.044 million manats).

Interest expenses in five of the remaining 21 banks range from 10 to 25 million manats, in 11 banks they range from 1 to 10 million manats, and in five banks they were less than 1 million manats.
