August 23, Fineko/abc.az. With the technical support of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan and the Asian Development Bank, a microfinance strategy is being developed, Chairman of the Board of the Public Association "Azerbaijan Microfinance Association" (AMFA) Jalal Aliyev said, as quoted by ABC.AZ.

"AMFA was also involved in the development of the strategy," Aliyev said.

He added that on July 29, the structure headed by him took part in a conference on microfinance held in Istanbul, where he held a meeting with creditors: “After the devaluation, their number naturally decreased. We made proposals to creditors to strengthen their activities in Azerbaijan. Now we are implementing a project Support for Young Entrepreneurs. The project is funded by the EU. Two-day trainings for young entrepreneurs were organized in Baku, Ganja, Gabala, Mingachavir, Khachmaz, Gakh, Zagatala and Masalli. 146 people participated in the trainings. At the same time a webinar was held to restore income, the volume of which decreased during the pandemic, to improve the financial situation of entrepreneurs.”
