Cost of studying in private schools in Azerbaijan and other countries compared

September 5, Fineko/abc.az. The average annual tuition fee for primary classes of private secondary schools operating in Azerbaijan is 8,670 manats ($5,100).

ABC.AZ reports that the lowest tuition fees among neighboring countries are recorded in Iran. The average annual primary school tuition in this country is $1,380. Next is Turkey with $3,850, Armenia with $4,700 and Georgia with $5,000. The average annual tuition fee in primary schools in Russia is slightly higher - $7,240.

In other countries of the region, the tuition fees provided for primary classes are as follows:

In Moldova – $3,265

In Ukraine – $3,790

In Uzbekistan – $5,260

In Kazakhstan – $5,610

In Belarus – $6,670

The highest average annual primary school tuition in the world is charged in Switzerland – $27,400. This figure was $23,300 in Singapore, $21,840 in China, $19,330 in South Korea and $18,200 in Hong Kong. The lowest tuition fees were recorded in Sri Lanka ($490) and Pakistan ($980).
