September 5, Fineko/abc.az. Since the liquidity in Azerbaijani banks has been quite high in recent years, they actively offer money to the population and businesses. However, it cannot be said that banks give loans to everyone. Credit organizations, as a rule, do not lend to people with insufficient income, negative credit history and problems with registration. And in recent days, reports have appeared on social networks about restricting access to loans for another part of the population. Speech is about the disabled of Group I. But how true and legitimate is it?

ABC.AZ reports that Davud Rahimli, the president of the Union of Organizations of Disabled People, says that there is no prohibition in the legislation on lending to persons with disabilities:

"There is no such prohibition even in the internal document of any bank. However, since the bank is a commercial organization, it takes into account some criteria, for example, the ability of a person to repay a loan. Due to the fact that social benefits and disability pensions are not suitable for banks, the loan is not given. If a disabled person receives a pension or social benefit in the amount of 300-350 manats, banks consider that these persons cannot repay the loan. There is no regulatory framework that creditor banks could point to or refer to. But in many, if not all cases, people with disabilities are not given credit."
