Banks lower demand by 5.6% at today’s currency auction

September 6, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has conducted a currency auction with the participation of the State Oil Fund.

According to the CBA, $69.4 million were sold at today’s auction ($4.1 million, or 5.58% less than in the previous auction).

"The demand from banks at the currency auction amounted to $69.4 million and was fully met," the CBA said in a statement.

Following the auction, the weighted average exchange rate formed at the level of 1.7000 AZN/USD.
