Singaporean company intends to build a plant in Azerbaijan

September 13, Fineko/abc.az. On September 12, an event was held to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the Agency for the Development of Economic Zones (IZIA), the State Oil Company (SOCAR) and Singaporean company Indorama Investments Ltd.

ABC.AZ informs that according to the memorandum, it is planned to study the possibilities of creating a plant for the production of ammonium nitrate, NPK (nitrogen-N, phosphorus-P and potassium-K), DAP (diammonium phosphate) and ammonium sulfate fertilizers in the Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park and exchange relevant information between the parties.

Indorama has more than 20 industrial enterprises in 9 countries (Uzbekistan, Turkey, India, Indonesia, Brazil, Malaysia, Africa, etc.) for the production of many products, including nitrogen fertilizers, phosphorous fertilizers, polyethylene, polypropylene, polyester, textiles, cotton fiber and medical gloves. The company employs more than 18,000 employees.
