September 14, Fineko/abc.az. The economic growth in Azerbaijan can make up about 4%, ABC.AZ reports, citing WB official representative Ayhan Kose as saying this at the forum in Baku on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the partnership between the Azerbaijani government and the WB.

He noted that there is a need for reforms in order to achieve growth.

“Of course, reforms are needed to increase labor productivity. This will have positive impact on economic growth. The demographic problem may actually be in favor of Azerbaijan, as it requires investment in human capital, as well as an increase in the proportion of women in the workforce. As a result, per capita income can be $10,000 and $15,000. In the current situation, growth can also continue, but sooner or later it will dry up,” Kose said.
