In which financial institutions does population most often take loans?

September 15, Fineko/abc.az. As of 1 August 2022, the loan portfolio of banks and other credit institutions of Azerbaijan totaled AZN 18.985 bn in the equivalent of the national currency (a rise of 23.5% versus Jan-Jul 2021).

ABC.AZ was informed at the State Statistics Committee that long-term loans were given for AZN 15.155 bn (or 79.8% of the total loan portfolio).

97.4% of loans were given by banks and 2.6% by non-bank credit organizations and credit unions.

The amount of overdue loans for the year decreased by 29.4% to AZN 662.3 million (3.5% of the total loan portfolio).
