Uzbekistan's banks also stop servicing Mir cards

September 23, Fineko/abc.az. The service of the cards of Russian system Mir has been temporarily suspended in Uzbekistan since 23 September "for technical reasons", Uzbek single banking processing center UZCARD informs.

"The Center notifies that in connection with the necessary technical procedures on the side of the participant of UZCARD payment system, from 09:00 on 23 September 2022, it suspends the servicing of Mir cards in the infrastructure of the UZCARD PS and the operation of UZCARD – Mir co-branded cards abroad," system's website says.

The date of renewal of card service is not specified.
