September 23, Fineko/abc.az. The Baku Transport Agency (BNA), subordinate to the Baku Mayor’s Office, plans to organize new pedestrian zones in the capital, ABC.AZ reports with reference to BNA.

The visualization presented by BNA reflects the view of Islam Safarli Street without cars. The transformation of this street into a pedestrian zone has already been agreed with the relevant state authorities.

The choice of Islam Safarli Street for the organization of a pedestrian zone is not accidental. On this street, connecting the "Winter Park" and "Fountain Square", there are many historical buildings and monuments. In order to expand the coverage of existing pedestrian zones, it is planned to make some streets adjacent to these areas free of cars.
