Construction of new shopping centers in Moscow postponed for 2 years

September 27, Fineko/abc.az. The vacancy rate in the Moscow retail market may increase up to 15-20% by the end of 2022, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the forecast of CORE.XP.

"The departure of IKEA from Russia, as well as the program of optimization of retail outlets by Inditex and H&M groups affected the share of vacant space in shopping centers in the current quarter (an increase to 11.3%). By the end of the year, the vacancy rate may increase to 15-20%," the publication says.

The introduction of many new shopping centers has been postponed for 2023-2024.
