Russian entrepreneurs’ assets for 30 bn euro frozen

September 30, Fineko/abc.az. The countries of the European Union and the Group of Seven (G7) have frozen the assets of Russian entrepreneurs for 30 bn euro, ABC.AZ reports, citing European Commissioner for Justice Didier Reynders, as speaking this at the New Economy Forum in Madrid.

"During this time, it was possible to freeze 14.6 bn euro [from the funds of] oligarchs in Europe," he said. "Together with the G7, this is 30 bn euro. And if we look at the Central Bank of Russia, these are the reserves of the Central Bank of Russia, 300 million euro have been confiscated there," the European Commissioner claimed.

According to Reynders, in Spain the assets of entrepreneurs from the Russian Federation were frozen for 41 million euro and in Hungary for 3,000 euro.
