Baku trade turnover has increased

October 3, Fineko/abc.az. For the past 8 months of 2022, trade turnover of the Azerbaijani capital increased by 3.5% (versus Jan-Aug 2021) to AZN 17.506 bn.

ABC.AZ was informed at the Baku City Statistics Department that the value of foods, beverages and tobacco products sold in the retail chain increased by 9.6% (against the 2021 same term) AZN 9.676 bn, and non-food products by 1.8% up to AZN 7.8 bn.

36.3% of consumer goods are sold at enterprises with legal entity status, 46.5% in retail facilities owned by individual entrepreneurs, and 17.2% in the commodity markets of the capital.
