October 7, Fineko/abc.az. FAO (Food & Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) announced a drop in world prices for dairy products in September.

ABC.AZ reports that the price index for dairy products decreased by 0.6% compared with August, but an increase of 20.7% remains in annual terms.

World prices for all dairy products declined moderately in September, which happened as a result of the impact of the weakening of the euro against the US dollar on world prices for dairy products (dairy products are indicated in US dollars).

Moreover, high milk production, limited market demand, and deteriorating prospects for global economic growth, especially in Europe, negatively affect international milk prices.
