June 5, Fineko/abc.az. The State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan is developing a package of customs reforms.

SCC chair Safar Mehdiyev has stated that the proposals are prepared on the relevant order of the head of state.

"As part of development of the package, the participants of foreign trade activities will be sent four inquiries: inquiry concerning change in customs legislation; inquiry on provision of transparency; inquiry regarding the quality of e-services, and inquiry relating to fight against corruption in this area," Mehdiyev said.

He added that the SCC has already signed the Memorandum of Cooperation with the Anti-Corruption Department on joint activity.

"Answers to the inquiries will be included in the package of customs reforms," Mehdiyev said.
