Azerbaijan extracted 34.4 bn cu m of natural gas for Jan-Sept

October 14, Fineko/abc.az. According to operational data for Jan-Sept 2022, Azerbaijan produced 34.4 bn cu m of natural gas, including 10 bn cu m of gas from Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli, 18.5 bn cu m from Shah Deniz, 5.9 bn cu m – on SOCAR (2.7 bn cu m of gas or 8.6% more compared with the 2021 same term), ABC.AZ was informed at the Ministry of Energy.

During the reporting period 16.3 bn cu m of gas were sold abroad (22.6% more versus Jan-Sept 2021), including 8.3 bn cu m to Europe, 6.1 bn cu m to Turkey, and 1.9 bn cu m to Georgia. About 4.2 bn cu m of gas were transported to Turkey through TANAP.

Since the commissioning of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli and Shah Deniz fields until 1 October 2022, 200 bn cu m were extracted from Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli and about 176 bn cu m from Shah Deniz. 122.6 bn cu m produced from Shah Deniz field were exported.
