October 17, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov has signed an order on assignment of international status to the airport in Zangilan.

ABC.AZ reports that in compliance with the order the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is tasked to send information to the relevant international organizations in connection with the assignment of this status to the Zangilan airport.

International ICAO and IATA codes (respectively UBBZ and ZZE), as well as all the call signs of the navigation aids of the EUROCONTROL organization are installed for the Zangilan airport.

Zangilan International Airport is the 2nd airport built on the territory of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation after Fuzuli International Airport.
