Turkish Minister: Half of grain passing through grain corridor goes to Europe

October 18, Fineko/abc.az. 7.8 million tons of grain have been transported through the grain corridor so far.

ABC.AZ reports that Turkish Minister of Transport & Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoglu stated that 13% of grain was transported to Africa, 23% to Asia, and 47% to Europe.

He emphasized that the largest cargo on the European continent, except Turkey, was transported to Spain, Italy and the Netherlands.

Karaismailoglu said in a written statement that a total of 354 vessels were sent from the ports of the Ukrainian cities of Odessa, Chernomorsk and Yuzhnaya from 1 August to 18 October within the grain corridor.
