China increased oil imports from Russia by 8.8% for Jan-Sept

October 24, Fineko/abc.az. Russian oil supplies to China grew by about 8.8% year-on-year up to 64.25 million tons for Jan-Sept 2022.

The Chinese Main Customs Administration informs that the cost of energy bought by China from Russia for the past 9 months increased 1.5-fold (versus Jan-Sept 2021) to $44.06 bn.

As follows from the statistics, Russia in September, as well as in August, was in 2nd place among the leading oil suppliers to China. In September, China purchased 7.46 million tons of oil from Russia (decrease of about 11% against August).

Saudi Arabia is the leader on oil supplies to China, which sold 65.83 million tons for Jan-Sept to China for $49.79 bn (decrease in physical volume by 0.9% year-on-year and a 1.5-fold rise in value).
