Toyota Motor's income decreased by 23% this year

November 1, Fineko/abc.az. Earnings of Japan’s leader automobile concern Toyota Motor in the 1st half of 2022 fiscal year (from April to September) fell for the first time in the last two years, despite the weak exchange rate of the yen against the dollar, which is beneficial when exporting products.

Company's financial report published on Tuesday says that the net profit for the period fell by 23.2% to 1.17 trillion yens ($7.8 bn at the current exchange rate).

The forecast of net profit for the full fiscal year remained unchanged at 2.36 trillion yens ($15.9 bn), which is 17.2% less than in the previous year.
