November 2, Fineko/abc.az. 7-car trains have been put into operation on the purple branch of Baku Metro CJSC - on both tracks of the Khojasan – 8 November section.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to Baku Metro’s press service that passenger platforms on metro lines under construction are designed for the movement of 7-car trains.

Since there were only two stations on the purple line, put into operation in 2016, running 5-car trains was considered the most appropriate. Now there are three stations operating on the branch, an electric depot and another station will be put into operation in the near future. For this reason, in accord with the technical requirements, the transition to the movement of 7-car trains was carried out.
