Finance Minister: State Budget 2023 envisages AZN 3 bn for restoration of liberated lands

November 3, Fineko/abc.az. The Milli Majlis Committee on Economic Policy, Industry & Entrepreneurship has held a regular meeting.

ABC.AZ reports that delivering speech there Finance Minister Samir Sharifov noted that the restoration of occupation-liberated territories and implementation of the plan for the Great Return are the main directions in Draft State Budget for 2023.

"The volume of State Budget finances in this direction grows annually. In 2023, AZN 3 bn is envisaged for restoration of the liberated territories, which is 12.4% and 37.7% more than in 2022 and 2021, respectively. In addition, the priority items of State Budget expenditures remain strengthening the country's defense capability and ensuring its national security. In 2023, it is planned to allocate AZN 5.3 bn for these purposes, which is 17.1% more than in 2021," he added.

As in previous years, State Budget 2023 will again become socially oriented. Next year, AZN 15.2 bn are stipulated for these purposes (AZN 1.3 bn, or 9.3% more than in 2022).
