In total, over 524 million tons of crude oil exported via BTC

November 4, Fineko/abc.az. During the first three quarters of 2022, about $74 million was spent on BTC operating expenses and $17 million on capital expenditures, ABC.AZ informs, referring to BP’s report.

According to the report, on March 23, the BTC pipeline marked the shipment of the 5,000th tanker with exported oil from the Sangachal terminal to the Ceyhan terminal, through Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey.

By the end of the 3rd quarter of 2022, a total of more than 524 million tons (3.93 billion barrels) were transported through this pipeline crude oil that was loaded onto 5,163 tankers in Ceyhan and shipped to world markets.

During the first 9 months, 224 tankers were loaded into the Ceyhan terminal and about 22 million tons (about 164 million barrels) of crude oil and condensate were shipped exported via BTC.

Currently, the BTC pipeline mainly transports ACG oil and Shah Deniz condensate from Azerbaijan. In addition, other regional volumes of crude oil and condensate of the Caspian Sea are transported through BTC.
