November 4, Fineko/abc.az. It is proposed to increase the income tax from 2,500 to 5,000 manats in Azerbaijan, Finance Minister Samir Sharifov said at a joint meeting of the parliamentary committees on youth & sports, labor & social policy, agrarian policy, regional issues and natural resources, energy & ecology.

He recalled that income tax is currently applied to employees of the state and oil sectors: "A big step has been taken in the non-oil, non-state sector within the entrepreneurs support program: 0 income tax is paid until 2026 for amounts up to 8,000 manats."

The minister noted that, according to preliminary estimates, if this proposal is adopted, it will lead to the loss of 150 million manats in the state budget: "Speech is about 40,000 people. We should appreciate it."
