Nissan's quarterly profit decreased by 68%

November 10, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st half of the current fiscal year, which began in April, carmaker Nissan recorded decrease in net profit more than by 60%, to 64.5 bn yens ($442 million).

According to company's report, Nissan was forced to write off 24.1 bn yens ($164.5 million) in the 2nd quarter of its 2022 fiscal year due to withdrawal from the Russian market.

As a result, company's net profit for the quarter amounted to 17.4 bn yens ($118.5 million), which is 68% worse than last year's figure.

At the same time, taking into account the weak exchange rate of the yen, Nissan Motor raised its forecast for net profit for the current fiscal year from 150 bn up to 155 bn yens ($1.06 bn).
