November 11, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan always contributes to the unity of the Turkic world, and will continue to be committed to the ideas of the unity of the Turkic world.

ABC.AZ informs that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said speaking at the 9th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, on November 11.

"Since the Nakhchivan summit in 2009, our organization has passed a long way of development. The Turkic world covers vast geography, which is home to about 200 million people, and has huge economic potential, energy resources, transport routes and modern military capabilities," President Aliyev stated.

The head of state stressed that the Turkic world is a big family: "We must continue to show mutual support and solidarity, taking into account each other's national interests. Along with politics, economy, trade, culture, transport, energy, digital transformation, agriculture, tourism, we must intensify our cooperation in such areas as security, defense, defense industry."
