Fertilizer terminal of Baku Port to be launched

November 14, Fineko/abc.az. The fertilizer terminal built on the territory of the Baku Port will be put into operation early next year, ABC.AZ quotes Kamran Jalili, head of the common cargo terminal of the Baku International Sea Trade Port CJSC.

According to Jalili, the terminal will handle 3 million tons of cargo annually and 600 tons per hour.

“Here, it will be possible to transship an additional 6,000 tons of bulk cargo per hour,” he noted.

Jalili also informed about plans to import sulfur, carbamide, ammonium nitrate fertilizers from the countries of Central Asia, including Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, to the port.
