November 24, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan Banks Association’s president Zakir Nuriyev stated about growth of population’s deposits in banks.

ABC.AZ reports that the ABA chairman noted that over Jan-Sept 2022 population’s deposits in banks increased by 27% and approached AZN 11 bn.

He added that the level of dollarization of the population for the reported term made up 39.2%.

"This is by 4.4% over the past period and, in general, by 10 points lower than the dollarization coefficient that was in our deposit base. The balance sheet capital of banks grew by 10% and reached AZN 5.3 bn. For the first 9 months of this year, the total profit of our banks already approached AZN 1 bn and the net profit reached AZN 683 million. This is by 35% more against Jan-Sept 2021," Nuriyev said.
