Transactions in non-cash foreign exchange market increased

November 28, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Sept 2022, transactions in the foreign exchange market increased in all market segments, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the review of CBA’s monetary policy.

According to the review, for the first 9 months of 2022, the transactions in the non-cash foreign exchange market increased by 16.3% (versus Jan-Sept 2021) up to $22.3 bn.

84.5% of non-cash currency transactions were made in US dollars and 15.5% in other currencies.

29.6% of foreign exchange transactions were carried out on the interbank foreign exchange market, and 70.4% of foreign exchange transactions at the intrabank foreign exchange market.
