Over 37 million tons of cargo carried in Azerbaijani part of this transport corridor

November 29, Fineko/abc.az. Over the first 9 months of 2022, the volume of cargo transported on the Azerbaijani section of the Europe-Caucasus-Asia transport corridor reached 37.829 million tons and cargo turnover 9.435 bn tons-kilometers.

ABC.AZ was informed at the State Statistics Committee that 20.376 million tons or 53.9% of cargo were carried by road, 12.435 million tons or 32.9% by rail, 5.017 million tons or 13.2% by sea.

27.4% of the cargo transported through the corridor, or 10.35 million tons accounted for transit cargo.
