December 5, Fineko/abc.az. Nine new metro stations will be built in Baku. ABC.AZ reports that according to Baku Metro’s spokesman Bakhtiyar Mammadov, the locations of the stations are already known. 

"Three of them will be located between stations Koroglu and Darnagul. The project of dividing the lines is construction of three stations from Darnagul station on the one hand to the Koroglu station on the other. In this direction, Ziya Buniyadov Avenue is one of the busiest streets in the city. Along this avenue, the station will be located in an area close to the road infrastructure on Boyukshor Lake, and the other in an area called Takhta Bazaars. Since after the separation of the lines, independent train traffic will be organized on both lines, one and two stations will be built after the Icherisheher station to shorten the interval. Trains will continue to move from one track to another behind the station, and it will be possible to introduce minimum intervals," Mammadov added.
