Four banks directed over AZN 10 million for special reserves

December 5, Fineko/abc.az. Nine out of the 26 banks operating in Azerbaijan did not allocate finances to special reserves for Jan-Sept 2022.

ABC.AZ reports that among them are Express Bank, Azerbaijan Industrial Bank, Bank Republic, Yelo Bank, AFB Bank, Bank VTB Azerbaijan and Bank of Baku, as well as Baku branches of national banks of Pakistan and Iran.

In other words, these banks have saved on transfers to special reserves. The highest figure in this regard was recorded on Bank of Baku (AZN 11.9 million) and the lowest on the Bank of Pakistan (AZN 30,000).

The remaining 17 banks created reserves in various amounts. In four of them, this figure exceeds AZN 10 million: Kapital Bank (AZN 71.816 million), International Bank of Azerbaijan (AZN 32.7 million), Unibank (AZN 18.565 million) and Muğan Bank (AZN 13.565 million).
Of the remaining 13 banks, the amount of transfers to special reserves in 11 banks ranges from AZN 1 million to AZN 10 million and in four banks is less than AZN 1 million.
