Weakest and strongest cities by economic indicators

December 8, Fineko/abc.az. The strongest and weakest cities and districts in Azerbaijan on economic volume have become known.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that as of the end of the 3rd quarter of 2022, the production of goods and services in the country amounted to AZN 64.1 bn.
Of them, AZN 56.118 bn or 87.5% accounted for the city of Baku.

After Baku, Sumgait is the most economically large city in the country – AZN 2.9 bn. It is followed by Absheron (AZN 522 million) and Ganja (AZN 483 million). The most economically weak districts and cities (except for territories liberated from occupation) are Yardimli (AZN 4.1 million), Naftalan (AZN 4.7 million), Gobustan (AZN 4.3 million) and Lerik (AZN 5.8 million).
