Number of employees working under labor contracts grows in Azerbaijan

December 9, Fineko/abc.az. The number of employment contracts in Azerbaijan amounted to 1,741,468 as of 1 December, ABC.AZ was informed at the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy. 

The indicator is by 339,553 contracts or 24.2% more compared to the beginning of 2019. 

This became possible thanks to measures aimed at formalizing jobs, “whitewashing” the payroll, ensuring transparency.
Thus, the incentive-based tax policy implemented for more than 3 years has led to significant changes in the labor market. In the private sector of the non-oil sector, this indicator increased by 287,572 contracts up to 827,494 ones.
