Portugal, Spain and France to build first hydrogen import pipeline

December 12, Fineko/abc.az. 10% of EU’s annual needs - only about 2 million tons of "green" hydrogen - can flow from the Iberian Peninsula to France and, thus, to the European energy market via the H2MED pipeline to be built by the end of the decade. 

ABC.AZ reports that Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announced the details of the planned project on Friday in Alicante.
Under the agreement between Spain, Portugal and France, two pipelines will be constructed as part of the project. One is between Celorico da Beira in Portugal and Zamora in Spain with length of 248 km and cost of €350 million in 48 month.
