December 12, Fineko/abc.az. The State Statistics Committee has published data on the turnover of retail trade in Azerbaijan. 

ABC.AZ reports that retail trade turnover amounted to AZN 45.1 bn. Compared with 2021, expenditures on foods grew by 23.5%. The share of household expenditures in other spheres in which food costs increased declined in total expenditures.

So, if last year expenses on beverages and tobacco products made up to 5% of total expenses, now this figure decreased to 4.5%.
Although spending on clothing and footwear increased by AZN 600 million, their share in total spending fell from 15.7% to 14.7%.
The population has already spent AZN 200 million on electrical goods and furniture, but the share of this expenditure item in total costs decreased from 5.3% to 5%.
At that, fuel costs grew by AZN 250 million, but the share in total expenses decreased from 6% to 5.6%.
