June 11, Fineko/abc.az. The Baku Transport Agency (BNA) is taking measures to ensure public transport safety.

BNA press service head Mais Agayev stated that over the last 8 months 1,356 drivers working on regular Baku bus routes have passed a special training course at the BNA training center.

"Those who completed the course successfully, received certificates and their names have been included in the database of professional drivers. There are 3,060 drivers working on the existing bus routes of the capital and all of them will pass Agency’s training course. Those who will fail to pass it will be able to apply again," Agayev said.

He pointed out that BNA intends to create in the future a single database of drivers and a single system on their hiring.
