Turkish Airlines resumes flights from Baku to Sabiha Gökçen airport - Exclusive

June 13, Fineko/abc.az. Turkish Airlines intends to expand the number of flights to Azerbaijan.

Seyfulla Ilyas, the head of the Baku representative office of the Company, stated that currently Turkish Airlines carries out three flights to Azerbaijan.

"The flights are operated from the Ataturk airport. From 15 March 2015 Turkish Airlines carried out flights from Sabiha Gökçen airport, which were suspended in the fall of 2016," Ilyas said.

He said that now negotiations are underway on the resumption of flights from the Sabiha Gökçen airport, and the start of flights from it are scheduled for 2019.

"Thus, the number of Turkish Airlines flights from Turkey to Azerbaijan will be brought up to four," Ilyas said.
