Azerbaijan extracted 46.7 bn cu m of gas in 2022

January 13, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan produced 46.7 bn cu m of natural gas last year.

ABC.AZ was informed at the Ministry of Energy that gas extraction at Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli reached 13.4 bn cu m and at Shah Deniz - 25.2 bn cu m, and gas production by SOCAR - 8.1 bn cu m.

Compared with 2021, gas extraction grew by 6.5% (or 2.9 bn cu m).

Gas sales abroad totaled 22.3 bn cu m (18% more than in 2021).

Over Jan-Dec, 11.4 bn cu m of gas were sold to Europe, 8.4 bn cu m to Turkiye, 2.5 bn cu m to Georgia.

During this time, about 5.6 bn cu m of gas were transported to Turkiye via TANAP.
