January 18, Fineko/abc.az. After the recent increase in the authorized capital of Unibank, the share of its main shareholder Eldar Garibov has slightly increased.

ABC.AZ reports that entrepreneur's share in Unibank reached 87.032%.

It became known that Garibov bought most of the shares issued by the bank in order to "strengthen positions".

In the last working week of December, it became known that the bank was issuing 2.5 million shares. Considering that the nominal value of the bank's shares is 2.72 manats, speech is about an increase of AZN 6.8 million.

Garibov acquired 94.08% or 2,351,908 initially-issued shares (a block of shares for AZN 6,397,190). Garibov "joined the fight" with 6 persons at the auction. The volume of the package received by only two people exceeds AZN 100,000. One of these persons managed to buy shares for AZN 120,000, and the other - for AZN 202,000.

Garibov's share in the authorized capital of the bank before that was 86.7%. The second most important shareholder after the businessman is Canley Finance SA.

Thus, Unibank’s authorized capital totals AZN 149,386,357.

After the increase in Garibov's equity stake, the nominal value of his shares in Unibank increases up to AZN 130.01 million.
