Microsoft announces reduction of 10,000 employees

January 19, Fineko/abc.az. Microsoft has announced its intention to reduce 10,000 employees by the end of Q3 of fiscal year 2023, that is, by the end of March.

ABC.AZ reports that this corresponds to about 5% of all employees of the company.

Announcing the cuts, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said that by doing so, the company "brings the cost structure in line with revenue and with the areas in which we see consumer demand".

He noted that by reducing employees in some spheres, the company will continue hiring in "key strategic areas".
