Income received from activity by individuals or legal entities (except journalists) engaged in the publication and (or) dissemination of mass media, including their income from advertising, as well as financial assistance provided to them by the relevant state institution, are exempt from income tax, income and simplified taxes.
ABC.AZ reports that this was reflected in the proposed amendment to the Tax Code, discussed at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Economic Policy, Industry & Entrepreneurship.
According to the draft, the benefits will be valid for 3 years, starting from 1 January 2023.
Tax benefits do not apply to subjects of audiovisual media.
Owners of motor vehicles registered in foreign countries, or persons driving these vehicles passing through the territory of Azerbaijan, will be considered road tax payers and vehicles belonging to these persons as the object of road tax.
