Erdogan: Monetary aid to be provided to quake victims

February 10, Fineko/abc.az. Preparations are underway to provide the victims of the earthquake with 15,000 liras together with resettlement.

ABC.AZ reports that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated about this during his speech to the public.

He noted that, in particular, a comprehensive program is being developed in the quake area, which will allow the country to get back on its feet.

"Every penny of aid that people contribute to AFAD accounts is spent on activities in the quake zone," the president said.

On the morning of February 6, an earthquake of magnitude 7.7 occurred in Turkiye. The earthquake with depth of 7 km caused serious destruction in the provinces of Hatay, Gaziantep, Kilis, Osmanye, Malatya, Adiyaman, Sanliurfa, Diyarbekir, Adana and Kahramanmarash.
