February 27, Fineko/abc.az. The devastating earthquake in Turkiye forced Azerbaijani citizens who were planning a vacation in this country to make adjustments to their plans. Tourists who have booked travel packages to Turkiye for the summer months are currently wary of completing the payment.

ABC.AZ reports that the head of one of the travel companies Aziz Shiriyev says about this.

He added that when booking early, vacationers make a certain prepayment, and the rest of the amount is paid in installments, or immediately before the trip, depending on the agreement between the travel company and the client: "The earthquake led to a reduction in trips to Turkiye both from Azerbaijan and from other countries of the world.

The issue of refusal of tour packages in Azerbaijan is currently not relevant. The wait-and-see attitude of the clients is connected with the forecasts of seismologists that an earthquake may occur in Turkeiye."

Shiriyev noted that due to the current situation, interest in domestic tours has increased.
